Privacy Policy
FTG Sports ("we", "us") runs two online sports-simulation games: a baseball game (at baseball.ftgsports.net) and a football game (at football.ftgsports.net). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection narrow on purpose: enough to run your account and your leagues, and not much more.
Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account you give us an email address and a password, or you sign in with Google. If you use Google sign-in, we receive your email address, your name, and your Google account identifier from Google so we can create and recognize your account. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not request access to your Gmail, contacts, Drive, or other Google data.
Gameplay information
To run the games we store the things you create and do: your leagues and teams, roster moves, trades, draft and free-agency activity, in-game messages, display names, and your settings (such as your theme and notification preferences).
Technical information
Our servers keep standard logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps, and the pages or API endpoints requested) to operate the service, debug problems, and protect against abuse. Our network provider, Cloudflare, processes requests in transit to deliver and secure the site.
How we use it
- Create your account and sign you in.
- Run your leagues, simulate games, and save your progress.
- Send service email you ask for or need, such as sign-in confirmation, password resets, and league notifications you opt into.
- Keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix bugs.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.
Service providers
We share the minimum necessary with a few providers that help us operate:
- Google — optional sign-in (OAuth). Governed by Google's own privacy policy.
- Resend — delivers our transactional email (the messages listed above).
- Cloudflare — DNS, TLS, and content delivery in front of our servers.
These providers process data on our behalf to provide their service to us, not for their own marketing.
Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's storage for things the site needs to work: keeping you signed in (a session token) and remembering your light/dark preference. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data retention
We keep your account and gameplay data while your account is active. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and debugging, then discarded. When you delete your account we remove your personal information and the leagues you solely own; data needed to keep shared leagues coherent for other players may be retained in de-identified form.
Your choices and rights
- Access or correction — most of your data is editable in the app; for the rest, contact us.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your account and we will, subject to the retention note above.
- Email preferences — notification emails are opt-in and can be turned off in your settings; we will still send essential account email (like password resets).
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We honor those requests; just contact us.
Children
FTG Sports is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), store passwords only as salted hashes, restrict server access, and keep regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit how much of it we hold.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the games evolve. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email.
